Formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, the name was given in honor of the founder, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere in 2019.
It covers an area of 30,000 square kilometers, with its largest wilderness area. Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino are found in greater numbers, the might Rufiji with its renowned population of Hippo and Rhino flows to the Indian ocean. Visiting this area you will be able to enjoy the widest diversity of activities like safari, boat ride, walking safari, and game drives.
